Domaine Les Cortis is Isabel Coiffier and Jeremy Decoster. Though their domain is brand new (first vintage in 2016), Jeremy’s years of experience with some of the world’s most venerated, natural winemakers has been evident in his first wines. After years working with Agnes and Olivier De Moor, Lilian Duplessis, and others, the couple settled in the Bugey region of the French Alps, between the peaks of the Juras and Mont Blanc, home to families of lynx and deer. They are 500m up, on top of a rich blend of varigated soil. Everything is done by hand, biodynamically, organically and with minimal sulphur.

2021

Vdf "Gastine" 2021

VARIETY : Gamay / Chardonnay

TERROIR : 500m in altitude Limestone, Marl and Granitic bedrock Stony soils.
Organic, biodynamic.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION : Gamay and Chardonnay from the same parcel were picked at the same time and co-fermented. 8 to 15 days in whole bunches. Aged for 7 months in vats.

Vdf "Naxide" 2021

VARIETY: Chardonnay / Altesse

TERROIR : 500m in altitude Limestone, Marl and Granitic bedrock Stony soils.
Organic, biodynamic.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION : 
Blend of Chardonnay and Altesse (Roussette of Bugey) Chardonnay aged in tank and Altesse in large, old oak barrels on lees.

VINIFICATION : 
Immediate direct press, co-ferment, left to settle for one night and fermentation in vat or barrel, short elevage.

2020

Vdf “Mérune” 2020

VARIETY : 60% Chardonnay / 40% Altesse

TERROIR : 500m in altitude Limestone, Marl and Granitic bedrock Stony soils.
Organic, biodynamic.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION : Aged for 10 months on lees in vat.

Vdf “Neümite” 2020

VARIETY : 85% Gamay / 10% Altesse / 5% Mondeuse

TERROIR : 500m in altitude Limestone, Marl and Granitic bedrock Stony soils.
Organic, biodynamic.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION :  Whole cluster Gamay and Mondeuse macerated for 3 weeks. A direct press of Altesse.
Co-fermentation in vat.

Vdf “Xylofaune” 2020 (Mondeuse)

VARIETY : Mondeuse

TERROIR : 500m in altitude Limestone, Marl and Granitic bedrock Stony soils.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION : Whole clusters macerated for 4 weeks.
12 months in demi muid and vat..

Vdf “Gastine” 2020

VARIETY : Gamay / Chardonnay/ Corbeau / Mondeuse / Altesse / Pinot Noir / Chasselas

VINIFICATION : Grapes from each parcel macerated separately for 8 to 15 days in whole bunches.
Aged for 7 months in vats.
