Ferrals les Corbières

Mathieu and Xavier are two brothers in the fourth generation of winemakers. In the mid-90's, when the brother's took over, they began the conversion to organic and biodynamic practices. Instead of making grapes for a co-op like their forebears, they bottled under the family name and began their journey to produce the most unadulterated wines the terroir could produce. With help from some 100-year-old vines, they've gotten better and better at doing just that. They currently work 19+ hectares of land.

2022

Vdf "Emmenez-Moi" 2022
VARIETY : 60% Carignan, 35% Syrah, 5% Marselan

TERROIR : clay, limestone

HARVEST : by hand

VINIFICATION: destemmed, 10 days maceration for Carignan, 8 days maceration for Syrah and Marselan. Aged in fiber tank.

VINIFICATION :  Co-fermented and co-macerated for less than a day before pressing and a short élevage in fiberglass.

VARIETY : Carignan + a touch of Marselan

TERROIR : From a parcelle named “La Mariole”, planted in 1901 with some co-planted Marselan. Sandstone, clay-limestone soil.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION : Destemmed.
Soft and slow pressing + maceration approx 10 days in vat. Aged on lees.
