The estate of Domaine YoYo is made up of 7 distinct plots,
spread out in four hectares, all in the Banyuls Cru of the Roussillon. Their natural production was certified organic in 2008. Their vines of Carignan and Grenache are over 100 years old. Everything on the estate is done by hand, horse or mule (Uma).

1 week carbonic maceration, élevage in 400L demi-muid barrique.

VARIETY : 80% Grenache gris / 20% Grenache noir

TERROIR : 80 years old vine, granite terroir in the foothills of the Albères.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION :
3 week carbonic maceration.
Aged in demi-muid.

 

Vdf "Akoibon" 2021

VARIETY : 60% Grenache noir / 40% Mourvèdre

TERROIR : Young mouvèdre vines from the col de Banyuls. Grenache noir on the hills of the village of Port Vendres on the sea front. Black Schist.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION :
Carbonic maceration for 10 weeks.
End of fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Aged in barrels.

Vdf "La Tranchée" 2021

VARIETY : Grenache Noir

TERROIR : Black Grenache vines on a Soula plot (south facing) west of Banyuls. Black schist.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION :
8 day carbonic maceration on a bed of destemmed grapes. End of fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Aged in barrels .

Vdf "KM31" 2021

VARIETY : Grenache Noir / Gris/Blanc / Carignan

TERROIR : Century old vines in Soula on the heights of Banyuls sur mer. 3 small plots of land planted with black, grey and white Grenache and Carignan on black schist soil.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION : Carbonic maceration for 10 days on a bed of de-stemmed grapes. Fermentation finished in stainless steel tanks. Aged in barrels.

Vdf "Restaké" 2021

VARIETY : 60 % Grenache Gris & Blanc / 40% Carignan Blanc & Gris

TERROIR :
Black schist soil.
80 year old vines planted with Grenache Gris and Blanc at 300m on the southern heights of Banyuls. 6 year old young vines of Carignan Blanc and Gris.

HARVEST : hand picked

VINIFICATION :
Skin contact maceration for 4 days for the Carignan grapes and direct pressing for the Grenache grapes.
Fermentation in stainless steel tanks.
Aged in barrels.

TERROIR : 85 year old vines, co-planted at a high altitude.
Rocky, black schist in the Banyuls.
Northern exposure, horse ploughed. Organic, biodynamic

HARVEST : Harvested by hand in crates

VINIFICATION : After cold stabilization, a blend of Grenache and Carignan bunches are destemmed and placed at the bottom of a fiberglass or stainless tank, then all the remainder are put on top, whole cluster. Maceration for 10 days. After pressing, Aged in barrels for 6 months.
