We have the distinct pleasure to offer the newest vintage from Pauline Broqua

For those who don't know, Pauline is a young and rising star in the lesser-known region of the Aveyron, one of my favorite places in our world of wine not least because a visit with Pauline is always such a distinct pleasure. She's a wonderful winemaker in the Aveyron who's sophomoric vintages have been absolutely stunning despite a litany of hardships climactic, animal, and otherwise. Her resilience and fortitude are a true inspiration. That said, it's hard to see the weight of these years on wines that have a class, elegance, and grace of a master in a perfect vintage. While the relation to the wines of Nicolas Carmarans is still an aspect of their shared terroir and philosophy, Pauline has made a domaine all her own, with a litany of impeccable wines we look forward to every year. I can't say enough good things about this person and her project. Her generosity and grace is matched only by the magnificent wine she is able to eke out of a (lately) difficult terroir. The domaine suffered massive loss in 2021, leaving Pauline with just a barrel of red and white to show for the vintage. As their names' suggest, these cuvées were hard won, and bare the mark of a person with exceptional vitality, resilience, and a new prowess worthy of her great acclaim. I love these wines and this place.
